HNCP to build on successful first year at new centre.

Highgate Newtown Community Partners (HNCP) has marked a successful first year in its new Bertram Street centre, welcoming over 1,000 people in 2025. Its newly published Impact Review [ link to https://hncp.diditon.com/impact-review/ ] highlights the wide range of affordable services now offered, from community lunches and laundry facilities to youth clubs, haircuts, and art classes.

Director Andrew Sanalitro said the focus now is on reaching residents still struggling in isolation. “Poverty can make people withdraw, and we want to bring them back into the community,” he said. Plans are underway to recruit an outreach worker to connect with vulnerable neighbours who are missing out on support.

Andrew, who has been involved with HNCP for a decade, is urging more local people to get involved in shaping the centre’s future. “This is about giving people hope and a say in the services they need.” Why not tell your family and friends to pop in for a visit and find out more.
