What's on Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Meet Hannah Mayall. A Vinyasa Flow yoga practitioner and teacher who has lived and worked in the Highgate Newtown area for most of her life.
Meet Hannah Mayall, an astanga yoga practitioner and teacher who’s yoga teaching style is inspired by her own practices throughout the years. She has lived and worked in the Highgate Newtown area for most of her life and feels a deep commitment to the local community through its schools and community centre.
Her journey with yoga began 30 years ago at HNCC, where she first practiced Iyengar yoga. Over the years, she has explored various styles, with a particular focus on Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga.
Now older and calmer, Hannah values a consistent yoga practice—especially when shared with others. Her teaching style emphasizes accessibility and enjoyment, with a focus on sun salutations and breath-led movement. She strives to create a welcoming space where yoga feels approachable and meaningful.
Hannah invites students to discover moments of peace, stability, and introspection in their day—something she believes is especially valuable in today’s fast-paced world. Her classes are open to all abilities, but she especially encourages those who feel they might be “too old” or “too unfit” to give yoga a try. For Hannah, yoga is an internal and individual practice, far more about connection than perfect poses.
